Better supporting program participants through a maximum gain on repayment

Connect with us to see if you are eligible for a reimbursement if you already repaid the incentive.

To better support first-time home buyers, the Government of Canada will limit its share in the appreciation of a home at the time of repayment up to a maximum gain of 8% per annum (not compounded) on the Incentive amount from the date of advance to the time of repayment.

This means that participants may be able to keep more when their homes increase in value.

If you have already repaid the Incentive in excess of the maximum gain of 8% per annum (not compounded), and think you qualify for reimbursement, please fill out the following form and we’ll get in touch with you. Any amount repaid in excess of the maximum gain will be reimbursed.

More details will be announced this year so make sure to sign-up to get our latest updates.
